Philosophy

We believe that interior design is more than combining colors, textures, furniture and fixtures. It is about creating relationships and connections.  We understand that the space you chose to redesign should resonate with who you are, how you relate to your environment, who you want to be and how you want to feel.

Based on recognizing and analyzing your needs, aspirations and preferences, we combine design and aesthetics with functionality, meaning and purpose. Our close collaboration with architects, contractors, artisans and craftsmen allows us to find solutions and designs that are creative, effective and one of a kind.

Process

In the beginning, we need to gather as much information about your project and will ask many questions. Our goal is to familiarize ourselves with your needs, your preferences, and your aspirations. We want to create a space that fits into both your lifestyle and your budget. We hope to learn what is meaningful to you and what you’d like the space to say about you. We learn about the existing condition of your space and the bones that we will work with.

Then our design process begins. Based on what we have learned about you and the project so far, we will start the schematic design of your space. We will provide you with some inspirational images, draw up or obtain floor plans, create a concept and begin interior sketches. All of this will help you visualize your new interior and ensure that we are on the same page from the beginning. If needed, we will obtain the construction plans because artisans, contractors, crafts and trades people need to understand exactly how to build out your interiors.

The next step is to design your palette. This will give you a glimpse of the materials, colors finishes, millwork and cabinetry we are suggesting. You will be able to touch and feel samples of the options. We will set the stage and discuss the choices with you. This discussion helps us see what you like and work on adjustments if necessary.

Then we finalize the drawing, layouts, custom finishes, and any details that need approval. We often collaborate with other design professionals like landscapers and lighting experts to align our design efforts and create one congruent composition.

After that we order, purchase, ship, receive, and inspect. We will keep a close eye on all orders, and update you on their progress. Often we store your new furniture in our warehouse, where it is organized, checked and prepared for the day of installation.

Finally, we deliver your furniture and create the interior that you dreamed of. Our goal is to make this process as streamlined and painless as possible. We handle all of the logistics and group on site installations into as few days as possible. And one fine day, you will arrive at your home and see that together, we brought to life what you have been dreaming of for a long time.
